Wild Coast Wagyu has made great strides in the six months since our launch. From our strong focus on our Wagyu’s health benefits through our expanded range of cuts, our knowledge and expertise continue to grow. Our delivery services currently extend throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal and Gauteng – with a future expansion into the Western Cape and Lesotho imminent.
Within the Gauteng Province, Jacksons Food Market serves as the source, delivery and pickup point for Wild Coast Wagyu. Owned and run by Gary Jackson, they are, like us, a local, family-owned and operated business with which we are proud to be associated. Our ethics are incredibly similar, focusing on consistency, quality, health, and transparency.
When you purchase from Jacksons, you can rest assured that you are buying delicious food in its most organic form! As a company, they strive to provide food of the highest quality, nutritional value and taste. Therefore, all the products stocked have been taste-tested, and the ingredients carefully examined.
All produce is free of growth hormones, antibiotics, preservatives, chemically manufactured flavourings, and pesticides. In other words, they have natural, chemical-free products created with your health in mind!
Gary Jackson, founder and CEO of Jacksons Food Market, comments: “Primarily, we are a health store. People often use the word ‘Farmacy’ to describe us as we only provide the highest quality nutritional products.”
As a forward-thinking company, we are very selective when it comes to the locations at which we sell our products, as is Gary with the produce that he offers. A bond has been created here that not only benefits both businesses and serves both ethical principles but is also beneficial to conscious consumers and people alike.
Another huge principle that both Jackson’s Food Market and Wild Coast Wagyu believe firmly in, is regenerative farming. For farmland regeneration, we rotate our pastures and cattle from one field to the next, allowing our cows to graze on each pasture for a short period of time. As a result of ecological, regenerative grazing, the pastures are able to rest and replenish, supporting the soil’s ability to hold water and improving its ability to support microbes, fungi, and soil-aerating worms. Thus, landscape health is improved, as is the resilience and diversity of plant and animal life, moving away from industrial farming practices. Holistic land management not only benefits the planet but also produces some of the highest-quality beef.
There is no compromise on our genetics or quality control standards. Only the best Wagyu beef reaches your table when you buy Wild Coast Wagyu products. Our Wagyu is Certified South African Wagyu Beef (CSAWB) and is a registered trademark of the Wagyu Society of South Africa (WSSA). No corners are cut in bringing you authentic Wagyu.
Regardless of the cut, all our produce undergoes rigorous quality inspections to ensure maximum quality. Our marbling scores guarantee an exceptional culinary experience of the highest calibre.
