Internationally Recognised Genetics Program

Premium Quality Australian, American And South African Genetics

Our award-winning Wagyu genetics and the best quality feed are the secret to producing  our outstanding beef. Dr Fanie Steyn supported by Dr Stephen Hughes are responsible for our genetics program.

Our bulls are valuable fullblood Wagyu animals sourced from the best embryo pregnancies.

Insemination takes place in Angus heifers and Jersey cross dairy heifers to produce F1 crossbred animals.

The Wild Coast Wagyu fullblood herd is currently based at our Greenfield farm . It is here that our breeding cows are flushed after insemination with imported and local bull semen.

Embryos are then implanted into surrogate heifers to supplement natural births from our fullblood breeding cows.

This results is a fully traceable foundation herd with the highest genetic quality.

Our semen and embryos are sourced internationally from premium quality suppliers in Australia and the United States. We also procure genetics locally from the South African market and our breed planning is supported by leading Australian and local genetics specialists.

Through a planned and highly scientific approach to breeding, we are able to build genetics that represent the highest international standards.
