Wild Coast Wagyu is proud to be a family focused business, founded in 2017 by Gerald Dreyer. Born and educated in Zimbabwe, Gerald grew up with a passion for the land. Although most of his career has been in civil engineering, he is now fulfilling a childhood dream to farm the African soil. His vision is to create a sustainable business that is supported by a like-minded team who hold the same values of ethical and sustainable farming.
The Dreyer family have a love for sharing food prepared from high quality, locally sourced ingredients, so it was a natural progression that this family passion would ultimately lead to the Wagyu business.
Our vision is to create a sustainable business which produces a product of exceptional quality marketed under our brand THE BARON OF BEEF.
Our home is the greater Mooi River area in the KwaZulu Natal midlands of South Africa. Our animals are reared on lush irrigated pastures in a temperate climate ideally suited for beef production.
